Returns & Exchange Policy

At Pearlywinks Craft Supplies, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. We understand that sometimes things don't work out, and we're here to help. Please read our returns and exchange policy carefully.

Your Rights Under UK Consumer Law

As a consumer in the UK, you have certain statutory rights under laws such as the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. This policy does not affect your statutory rights.

1. Right to Cancel (for online, phone, or mail order purchases - Distance Selling)

If you purchased your item online, by phone, or by mail order (distance selling), you have the right to cancel your order and return the goods for a full refund.

  • Cancellation Period: You have 14 days from the day you receive your goods to cancel your order.

  • How to Cancel: To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement (e.g., a letter sent by post, fax, or email). You can use the model cancellation form provided at the end of this policy, but it is not obligatory.

  • Returning the Goods: Once you have informed us of your decision to cancel, you have a further 14 days to return the goods to us.

  • Condition of Goods: The goods must be returned in a condition that allows for resale, meaning they should be in their original packaging, unused, and with all tags and labels attached, if applicable. If the goods have been handled more than necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning, we may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value.

  • Cost of Return: You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods. We recommend using a tracked delivery service for your protection.

  • Refund: We will issue a full refund, including the cost of standard delivery (if applicable), within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or receiving proof that you have returned the goods (whichever is the earliest). The refund will be issued using the same payment method you used for the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. We will not charge any fees for the reimbursement.

2. Faulty Goods

If your goods are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose, you have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

  • Short-Term Right to Reject (within 30 days): You have the right to reject faulty goods within 30 days of receiving them. If you do so, you are entitled to a full refund.

  • Right to Repair or Replacement (after 30 days, but within 6 months): If a fault develops after 30 days but within six months of receiving the goods, you are entitled to a repair or replacement at no cost to you. If a repair or replacement is not possible or is unsuccessful, you have the right to a price reduction or a final right to reject the goods for a refund (with a deduction for any use).

  • Right to Repair or Replacement (after 6 months): If a fault develops after six months, you will need to prove that the goods were faulty at the time of purchase. If successful, you are entitled to a repair or replacement. If a repair or replacement is not possible or is unsuccessful, you have the right to a price reduction or a final right to reject the goods for a refund (with a deduction for any use).

  • Returning Faulty Goods: Please contact us to arrange the return of faulty goods. We will cover the cost of returning faulty goods.

  • Proof of Fault: We may ask for proof of the fault, such as photographs or a description of the issue.

3. Exchanges

If you wish to exchange an item for a different size, colour, or style, please contact us to check availability. Exchanges are subject to stock availability.

  • Condition of Goods: The item you wish to exchange must be in new, unused condition, with all original packaging, tags, and labels attached.

  • Cost of Return: You are responsible for the cost of returning the item for exchange. We will cover the cost of shipping the replacement item to you (standard delivery only).

  • Processing Exchanges: Once we receive the returned item and confirm its condition, we will process the exchange and ship the replacement item. If the requested item is out of stock, we will contact you to discuss alternatives or offer a refund.

4. Items That Cannot Be Returned or Exchanged

For hygiene and other reasons, certain items may not be eligible for return or exchange unless they are faulty. This may include (but is not limited to):

  • Perishable goods (e.g., food, flowers)

  • Goods that have been personalised or made to your specific requirements

  • Sealed goods that are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons and were unsealed after delivery (e.g., underwear, earrings)

  • Sealed audio or sealed video recordings or sealed computer software which were unsealed after delivery

  • Newspapers, periodicals, or magazines

  • Services, once they have been fully performed

  • Items that have been used or damaged after delivery (unless faulty)

We will clearly state on the product page or at the point of purchase if an item is non-returnable or non-exchangeable.

5. How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

6. Refunds
