Fine Art Textures is a collection created for those moments when a perfectly flat digital background simply isn’t enough. It brings the beautiful character of traditional artists’ surfaces into your digital crafting, giving artwork the appearance of being created on watercolour paper, handmade papers, canvas, linen, parchment and painted gesso surfaces.
 
I wanted this collection to feel like opening the drawers of an artist’s studio — finding sheets of softly aged parchment, beautiful cold press watercolour paper, fibrous handmade papers, natural canvas and wonderfully imperfect painted surfaces, all ready to become part of your next design.
 
The palette has deliberately been kept beautifully neutral, moving through soft whites, ivory, cream, parchment, warm natural kraft and gentle antique tones. This means the textures can sit quietly beneath your artwork, adding richness and detail without changing the character of the colours placed over them.

What makes Fine Art Textures particularly useful is the variety of finishes within the collection.
You’ll find the soft tooth of cold press watercolour paper, delicate fine-grain artist papers, rougher watercolour surfaces, natural recycled fibres and handmade papers with tiny flecks and imperfections. Alongside these are warmer woven textures including linen and canvas, beautifully aged parchment papers and both fine and heavier gesso brush textures.
Some are incredibly subtle. Others have much more visible grain, fibre or brushwork. This gives you the freedom to choose exactly how much texture you want your finished artwork to have.

And while they work beautifully inside Atelier by Pearlywinks, they aren't restricted to Atelier. You can also use them in other compatible graphics, photographic and crafting software, giving you complete freedom over how you create.
