Torn Shapes Collection

by Pearlywinks

Give your crafting projects a wonderfully distressed, handmade finish with our Torn Shapes Collection — a versatile set of 50 ready-to-use shapes, each featuring its own rough, ripped and imperfect torn edge.

Designed especially with digital crafting in mind, this collection gives you everything from useful everyday shapes to decorative accents, labels, banners and more. You'll find a lovely mixture of classic geometric shapes alongside hearts, stars, plaques, tags, speech bubbles, ribbons, decorative shapes and quirky extras, giving you plenty of options for cards, scrapbook pages, journals, digital designs, toppers, backgrounds and mixed-media style projects.

Made for Atelier Go

Every design is supplied as an Atelier Go .ateliershape file, ready to go straight into your Atelier Shapes Vault.

There is no converting, tracing or preparing required — simply add the shape files to your vault and they are ready to use within your projects.

Once inside Atelier Go you can resize, recolour, layer and use the shapes creatively with your artwork, papers, photographs and other design elements.

PNG Files Included Too

We've also included a high-quality PNG version of every shape, giving you even more flexibility.

The PNG files have transparent backgrounds and can be used:

  • Inside Atelier Go
  • In compatible digital crafting and graphics programs
  • With cutting-machine software that supports PNG files
  • For digital scrapbook and journal projects
  • As masks, design elements, backgrounds and decorative layers
  • For creating your own toppers, sentiments, labels and embellishments

50 Different Designs

The collection contains a varied mixture of shapes, including geometric shapes, decorative plaques, torn banners, tags, hearts, stars, speech bubbles, arrows, labels and lots of useful crafting-inspired designs.

Each one has been created with an intentionally uneven torn-paper style edge, so you can achieve that distressed handmade look without having to create the effect yourself.

Perfect for everything from shabby chic and vintage projects to modern digital crafting, journaling and contemporary card making.

Your Download Includes

50 × Atelier Go .ateliershape files
Ready to add directly to your Atelier Shapes Vault

50 × transparent PNG files
For use in Atelier Go and other compatible programs and cutting-machine software

That's 100 files in total, covering all 50 designs in both formats.

A really useful collection to keep in your digital crafting library — because sometimes a perfectly straight edge is simply far too well behaved! 🤣

  • Instructions for the Collection

Adding Your Pearlywinks Shape Collection to Atelier Go

Your Pearlywinks Shape Collection includes both ready-to-use Atelier Go Shape files and standard PNG versions of the shapes.

This gives you two ways to use your collection:

    • Add the ready-made shapes directly to the Atelier Go Shape Vault
    • Add the PNG versions to your normal Atelier Go Collections Vault, or use them with compatible cutting machines and other software

The two methods work slightly differently, so please follow the instructions below.

Adding the Ready-Made Shapes to the Shape Vault

Do not unzip your download for this method.

Atelier Go's intelligent Shape Pack importer works directly from the original ZIP file you downloaded from Pearlywinks.

    • Download your Shape Collection ZIP file and save it somewhere easy to find.
    • Open Atelier Go.
    • Select the Shape Vault tab on the right-hand side.
    • Make sure your main Atelier Go Folder is connected.
    • Click:

    Add Shapes to Shape Vault

    • Select the original ZIP file you downloaded.
    • Atelier Go will automatically look through the ZIP, identify the Atelier-compatible shape files and add them to the correct collections inside your Shape Vault.
    • Once the import is complete, your new Shape collection will appear in the Shape Vault, ready to use.

Important — Shape Vault Imports Must Use the ZIP File

The Add Shapes to Shape Vault feature is designed specifically to read the original zipped Shape Collection.

You cannot use the unzipped folder to add a Shape Pack to the Shape Vault.

If you have already unzipped your download, simply keep the original ZIP as well and select that when using:

    Add Shapes to Shape Vault

There is no need to open, extract or reorganise the ZIP before importing it.

Atelier Go Does the Sorting for You

The Shape Pack importer intelligently searches through the complete ZIP and imports only genuine Atelier shape files:

    • .ateliershape
    • .ateliershape.json

Other files contained in your download are automatically ignored by the Shape Vault importer, including:

    • PNG images
    • cover artwork
    • licence files
    • instructions
    • PDFs
    • other supporting files

So you do not need to remove anything from the ZIP or create a special version just for Atelier Go.

Simply select the ZIP and Atelier Go takes care of the rest.

Adding the PNG Shapes to Your Collections Vault

If you would also like the PNG versions available inside your normal Atelier Go Collections Vault, this method is different.

For the Collections Vault, you do need to unzip your download first.

    • Unzip your Pearlywinks Shape Collection.
    • Locate the complete collection folder.
    • Place that complete folder into your usual Atelier Go Vault folder, just as you would with any other Pearlywinks digital collection.
    • Refresh your Collections Vault if required.

You do not need to remove the Atelier Shape files, licence, cover or other supporting files from the folder first.

The Collections Vault intelligently recognises the image files it can use and will pull the PNG artwork into your collection while ignoring files that do not belong in the normal artwork Vault.

This means the same download can contain everything you need without you having to manually separate the different file types.

    The Easy Way to Remember

    Shape Vault

    Keep it zipped.

    Use:

Shape Vault → Add Shapes to Shape Vault → select the original ZIP

Atelier Go finds and installs the .ateliershape files automatically.

    Collections Vault

    Unzip it first.

Place the complete unzipped collection folder into your normal Atelier Go Vault folder.

Atelier Go will recognise the PNG artwork and ignore files that are not required by the Collections Vault.

    Why Are PNG Versions Included?

We include standard PNG versions so that your purchase is not restricted to Atelier Go.

The PNG shapes can also be used with:

    • compatible cutting machines
    • other graphics programmes
    • other crafting software
    • your normal Atelier Go Collections Vault

This means you retain access to the underlying artwork independently of the Atelier-specific Shape files.

The files are yours to keep and use in accordance with the Pearlywinks licence supplied with your collection.

    That's It!

    For ready-made Atelier shapes:

Keep the file zipped → Add Shapes to Shape Vault

    For PNG artwork:

Unzip the file → place the complete folder in your normal Vault

    No converting individual shapes.
No sorting through dozens of files.
No manually separating the Atelier and PNG versions.

Atelier Go intelligently finds the files it needs and takes the guesswork out of the whole process.

  • Digital Licence

Digital Download Licence & Angel Policy

    Version 2.0  |  Last updated 8 August 2026

Thank you for purchasing a digital product from Pearlywinks Craft Supplies Ltd. We want our artwork to be enjoyable and straightforward to use. By downloading, opening or using the files, you agree to the terms below.

    THE SIMPLE RULE

Edit it. Create with it. Sell as many finished physical projects as you like.

Do not sell, share or give away the artwork, kit pages, components or stencil files themselves - even if they have been altered.

    1. What this licence covers

This licence applies to digital products purchased or lawfully downloaded from Pearlywinks Craft Supplies Ltd, unless a particular product includes separate written terms. “Artwork” means every supplied asset, including images, backing papers, scenes, elements, sentiments, alphabets, inserts, toppers, ephemera, templates, stencil designs, cutting files and any other included content.

    2. What you may do

Print the artwork for your own personal or commercial craft projects and keep a reasonable backup copy for your own use.

Edit the artwork in craft or design software, including Atelier Go and My Craft Studio. You may resize, crop, mirror, recolour, layer, add text and combine the artwork as part of a permitted project.

Create and sell an unlimited number of completed physical craft projects made using the artwork. There is no sales limit for genuine finished projects.

Sell those finished projects through craft fairs, shops, websites, social media or online marketplaces.

Share photographs or videos of your completed projects, provided you do not make the original or full-resolution artwork available to copy or download.

Use a professional print service solely to print materials for your own permitted use. You remain responsible for ensuring that the service does not retain, reuse, share or sell the files.

Credit Pearlywinks on finished projects is appreciated, but it is not required.

    3. The finished project rule

A finished project is a completed physical craft item that is ready to use, display, gift or sell, with the Pearlywinks artwork incorporated into its construction or decoration. Merely printing, cutting, resizing, recolouring, adding text or a border, flattening, tracing, converting, or rearranging the artwork does not turn the artwork itself into a finished project.

    4. Craft classes

You may use a purchased kit in free or paid in-person craft classes, subject to all of the following:

You may print only the materials reasonably needed for each attendee to make the planned finished project during the class.

You may charge for tuition and materials.

The class must be based around creating a finished physical project. You may not print and sell or hand out mini kits, complete page sets, loose image packs or bundles of unused components.

The digital files must remain with the purchaser and must not be copied, emailed, uploaded, transferred or supplied to attendees.

For an online or remote class, each participant must purchase their own copy of the relevant digital product. You may not send participants the files or printable pages.

    5. Stencil designs

Stencil files may be imported into craft programs such as Atelier Go and My Craft Studio and used to create permitted finished projects.

You may cut physical stencil copies for your own use and cut class copies to use as shared teaching tools during an in-person craft class.

You may sell an unlimited number of finished physical projects made using the stencil designs.

You may not sell, give away or distribute cut stencil blanks, stencil templates or digital stencil files. Class stencils must not be sold or supplied as standalone take-home products.

    6. What you may not do

Resell, share, swap, lend, sublicense, redistribute or give away any original or edited digital file, whether for payment or free of charge.

Sell the artwork itself in printed, cut or physical component form. This includes kit pages, papers, toppers, inserts, tags, ephemera, die-cuts, mini kits, decoupage sheets, alphabets, sentiments and similar items - even when resized, recoloured, cropped, layered, flattened or otherwise modified.

Create or sell digital products containing the artwork, including printables, PDFs, JPGs, PNGs, SVGs, cut files, digital stamps, clip art, templates, digital papers, embroidery files, software assets, digital invitations, NFTs or digital collections.

Upload the artwork to file-sharing sites, shared drives, membership libraries, stock libraries, template platforms, print-on-demand services or manufacturers for resale as merchandise.

Extract, trace, vectorise, redraw, edit or combine the artwork and then claim it as your own original artwork, or offer it as a new artwork collection.

Register or attempt to register the artwork, an edited version of it, or a design containing it as your copyright, trademark, logo, brand identity or other exclusive right.

Use the artwork to train or fine-tune an artificial-intelligence model, or to create competing artwork or digital craft collections for sale.

Transfer this licence to another person, household, group, club, company or organisation.

    7. Ownership and licence terms

All copyright and intellectual-property rights in the artwork remain with Pearlywinks Craft Supplies Ltd and/or the stated rights holder. Your purchase gives the original purchaser a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the artwork only as described in this policy. It does not transfer ownership of the artwork or copyright.

This licence continues for as long as you follow its terms. If the licence is breached, permission to use the files ends and you must stop using, sharing or producing new items from them and delete or destroy unauthorised copies. This licence is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
