Vintage & Distressed Textures is a collection created for anyone who loves artwork with history, atmosphere and that beautifully timeworn look you simply cannot get from a perfectly clean digital background.
This pack brings together a rich selection of aged parchment, faded script, ledger papers, postmarks, damask, distressed plaster and weathered surfaces, all designed to give your projects instant character without overwhelming the artwork placed on top.
I wanted these papers to feel as though they had been discovered in an old drawer, tucked inside a forgotten journal or carefully preserved for decades — softened with age, marked by time and full of subtle detail.
Beautifully aged, faded and worn
The collection works through a soft vintage palette of ivory, cream, parchment, sepia, warm beige and muted greige, making the papers incredibly easy to use across lots of different styles.
You’ll find softly weathered antique papers alongside stronger distressed surfaces, with subtle stains, worn edges, faded markings and changes in tone that help each sheet feel naturally aged rather than digitally perfect.
There are also papers featuring ghosted handwriting, faded calligraphy, ledger lines, typewriter-style details and old postal marks, giving you instant storytelling elements without needing to build everything from scratch.
The distressed damask papers add another layer of interest, combining traditional decorative pattern with beautifully faded, timeworn surfaces.

A faded script paper used at low opacity can add just a hint of handwriting beneath your artwork. A ledger texture can create structure without becoming the main feature. You can also layer the papers together — perhaps combining parchment with script, postmarks and a little distressing — to create something that looks as though it has developed naturally over many years.
Used with opacity, masks, blending, overlays and double exposure, the possibilities become even wider.
