The card i have used, is Bockingford Hot Pressed watercolour card (cut to 5" x 7")
I used the following to spritz the card and make this lovely background base; #WinkSpritz (Yellow) #PearlywinkHybrid (Hot Pink) and #PearlywinkHintofGold (Green Apple, and Purple Rain).
Using a fan brush and some clean water, i tapped some of the water onto the background, as seen in the following picture.
I allowed the water to soak in for about ten to fifteen seconds before laying a tissue across the top of the card, to soak up the water.
As you can see, once the tissue was lifted, I was left with a lovely faux bleached background. I love using this technique to add depth.
I then trimmed the card down to 6.5" x 4.5".
So now that the card is cut down to the size i want to work with, i can start stamping. This card was stamped using #TraceyHeyStampSet "Weirdo" stamped in #VersafineClairInk (Nocturne).
I love these little background stamps, they're really versatile.
I then added the little shooting stars, and hanging star, masking off the area at the top of the card, to vary the length of the hanging stars.
I love these sentiments too, "Learn to love your inner monster" and "Trust your own craziness".
Aren't these little guys the cutest dragons ever.
They're even cuter once you colour them and add highlights. I used #WinkieInkies (Green, Yellow, Teal, Pink and Purple) to colour them in, and used a white #PoscaPaintPen to add the highlights.
I attached the background to a layer of 300 gsm black card, then applied some foam pads to each dragon, and attached them to the card. Once this was achieved, i attached it to a 5" x 7" card base in landscape to finish the card off.
